HAIR REMOVAL
IPL
At Salon 112 we offer Intense Pulsed Light treatment which gives a safe, long term solution for unwanted or excessive hair for both women and men.
​
Treatment is offered for the face and body, is quick and results can be seen after the first few sessions. A course of treatment is required and is normally taken at 4-8 week intervals to follow the hair growth cycle.
PLEASE NOTE: This treatment is not suitable for hair that lacks pigment or red hair and can only treat white to light asian skin colour.
ELECTROLYSIS
Electrolysis is the only proven permanent hair removal system. This hair removal process is suitable for most people.
​
Depending on the area being treated, treatments are taken 1-4 weeks apart with session times between 15 - 30 minutes in length. Many factors influence hair growth, so you will need to return for several electrolysis visits. The time between visits will get longer as the the hair growth becomes slower.
WAXING
Waxing reduces hair growth when performed every four to six weeks, while shaving crops the hair at the skins surface, waxing pulls it out from the root, so it grows back softer, finer and thinner. Waxing is great for those who are fed up with the hassle of daily shaving.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR TREATMENT
IPL
Do not wax, pluck or use an epilator for 4 weeks prior to your treatment. You can cut the hair to the skin surface.
Do not use a sunbed or fake tan, we cannot treat you if you have a tan.
No topical creams to be applied to the skin on the day of treatment.
Please shave the area to be treated 3-4 days prior to treatment.
PLEASE NOTE: A consultation and test patch is required.
ELECTROLYSIS
Do not wax, pluck or use an epilator for 4 weeks prior to your treatment, you can cut or shave the area if needed.
Do not shave or cut the hair for several days prior to your treatment. The hair must be visible and able to be removed with tweezers easily.
PLEASE NOTE: A consultation will be given prior to treatment.
WAXING
Ditch the razor for as long as you can before your wax session, if the hair is too short it will be hard to remove.
Exfoliate, this can remove dead skin and prepare you for the best wax experience.
Stay out of the sun and off the sunbed. We cannot treat sunburnt skin.
Don't exercise before your treatment, we want the skin as cool as possible.
SKIN LESION REMOVAL
ADVANCED ELECTROLYSIS
Advanced electrolysis is a specialist skin treatment that can be used to remove a variety of cosmetic skin imperfections quickly and efficiently.
How This Works
Advanced electrolysis works by using an electric current and a very fine needle to cauterise a skin imperfection. Our experienced and highly trained advanced electrolysis practitioner uses a sterilised and disposable probe and variable current. This produces a heating effect which, when applied to the blemish, causes the structure and its content to coagulate or dry up.
After advanced electrolysis is complete, your skin begins the healing process. This allows the dead skin cells which were involved in the electrolysis process to push up to the surface of the skin and flake off in the same way as a tiny cut heals. The treated area may also crust over or form a scab.

Advanced electrolysis is a quick and straightforward method of skin imperfection removal which causes no prolonged or residual pain. You may experience a stinging sensation that can be mildly uncomfortable.

CRYOPEN CRYOTHERAPY
Cryotherapy is the use of extreme cold produced by liquid nitrous oxide for the fast, effective and safe solution for the controlled destruction of unwanted skin imperfections.

How This Works
The nitrous oxide destroys the tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid in a matter of seconds, forming ice shards and crystals which rupture the membrane, thereby destroying the cell. That means there will be no collateral damage to the healthy tissue.
​
During the treatment there is a mild stinging sensation on the skin when the nitrous oxide reaches the bottom of the area. There maybe a little residual stinging for a few minutes after the procedure.
​
2-24 hours after being treated, a blister may occur which may take several days to dissolve. A crust will form over the lesion, which typically takes 10-14 days to heal. The area may become itchy during the healing process but please do not scratch or pick the area.

IPL TREATMENTS
IPL SKIN REJUVENATION, PIGMENTATION AND ROSACEA TREATMENT
IPL or Intense Pulse Light skin rejuvenation and pigment removal treatment is a relatively quick and easy procedure. Skin Rejuvenation is a safe, non-invasive treatment for younger looking fresh skin. Or perhaps you are concerned with age spots, sun damage, pigmentation, redness or wrinkles, skin rejuvenation can give you results in one to three session.

IPL directs controlled pulses of light into the upper layers of the skin. The light is absorbed by two of the body’s own natural chemicals - melanin and haemoglobin. Melanin naturally occurs in pigmented areas, while haemoglobin is present in red blood cells. As this light is carefully controlled, it contains the right amount of energy to destroy any targets such as pigmentation or sun damage without damaging the surrounding tissue.

The result is skin that feels younger and fresher immediately after one session. For maximum results we recommend a course of treatments taken 4-6 weeks apart.
IPL ACNE TREATMENT
The light emitted from the Intense Pulse Light directly targets overactive sebaceous glands, greatly reducing the total and severity of the active lesions, and lessening the inflammation and occurrence of out-breaks. The light stimulates the production of new collagen to improve skin texture, and can also reduce the appearance of red or brown areas of skin that are often associated with acne breakouts.

A course of treatments taken at 4-6 weekly intervals is recommended.

Clients will be advised on suitable skincare.
IPL RED VEIN REMOVAL
Thread Veins or broken red veins (telangiectasia) are small unsightly superficial red veins that occur around the nose and across the cheeks and chin. These superficial broken veins occur when the vein dilates and becomes larger so they are visible through the transparency of the skin. Although facial veins are quite common they can cause distress and embarrassment for those who have them.
Facial veins are effectively treated with IPL with minimal downtime or risk in just a few quick treatments.

Typically 3-6 treatments are needed for optimal results, treatments are taken every 4-6 weeks.

Emma has been a registered nurse for over 16 years. She holds a clinic at Salon 112 once per month on a Thursday, where she specialises in naturally enhancing features and carefully redefining the ageing process.

At Salon 112 we offer a variety of treatments to enhance your eyes, including Lash and Brow Tints, Individual Lashes and Lash Lift and Tint.
Lash and Brow Tint
This is a procedure where a tint is placed onto the brows or lashes to make them appear thicker, darker and fuller. The colour will last for 4-6 weeks.
A test patch is needed prior to treatment.
Eyelash Lift and Tint
A lash Lift and Tint treatment involves two separate processes, both designed to give you beautiful fluttery eyelashes for weeks. The lift mimics the effect of an eyelash curler. It makes your lashes bend upwards, leaving them looking longer, and your eyes more open and bright. Meanwhile, a lash tint is like applying mascara, it makes your eyes look darker, thicker and fuller.
BODY
​3D Lipo Fat Freeze
3D Lipo fat freezing is a non surgical treatment preformed using state of the art technology called cryolipolysis. It freezes and eliminates fat cells in the chosen targeted area, such as lower buttocks, abdomen, hips, stomach and inner thighs. The treatment eliminates up to 49% of the targeted fat cells. During the treatment the fat cells are frozen to the point of apoptosis (cell death). Once apoptosis has occurred, the dead cells are removed from the body through the lymphatic system. These unwanted toxins are removed from the body by drinking at least 2 litres of water a date fro the date of treatment.
As a result of the treatment, fat in the target area is reduced, giving you a more healthier and toned look. This treatment is ideal for small pockets of stubborn unwanted fat.
